Welcome to the home of the ONLY true Brazilian JiuJitsu School in the Wynne area! WBJJA of Wynne is now accredited by the North American Grappling Association and official affiliates of the Arkansas Brazilian JiuJitsu Federation, International Brazilian JiuJitsu Federation and the World Brazilian JiuJitsu Association. Our classes have a structured curriculum providing a safe and effective training program. Our techniques are competition proven and our reputation is growing within the BJJ community. Do not settle with unaccredited schools and instructors with no traceable or accredited ranking.
We know it is a challenge to offer a program that will meet the expectations of those who are pursuing to master the gentle art. Thus, we have collaborated our skills and teaching methods to create this program. For the first time, we are making available an entire learning process that will guide you through an authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu curriculum.
As to learning BJJ, we expect our students to use discipline and effort to empower them to overcome this challenge and succeed in this goal.
We strive to use the essence taught by Professor Thadeu Vieira, Master Paulo Wesley Lopes, that like his Master Francisco Mansur and like his Grand Master Helio Gracie, all lightweight practitioners. For example, this means for a large fighter to defend an attack of an armbar from guard he can stand up and pull his arm out and he is safe. This doesn't work for those who are lightweight. Every single technique we do is using pure leverage an technique - the essence of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! Anyone who absorbs such fine techniques can become an amazing fighter - as long as they beat the first obstacle: the temptation to use the muscle before the mind!
Advancement in rank is based on challenging tests. Our white belt program alone has 135 comprehensive techniques that are mandatory to master. The WBJJA curriculum will enable you to offer authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for years. We hope you embrace our program and we wish you good luck!
We are NOT a "belt factory" or "McDojo", we strictly adhere to the rules and guidelines set forth by the IBJJF and raking is based on the knowledge and ability to perform the required curriculum and technical excellence. We have also recently become members of the Arkansas Brazilian JiuJitsu Association as well as an accredited school of the North American Grappling Association (NAGA).
